Cupcake courses
Learn how to create the ultimate in elegant, witty and exceedingly pretty cupcakes on a half-day course that will have friends and family cooing in admiration and cake-filled happiness! Everyone gets to mix and grate and stir and pipe and beat and drizzle and dip as Leah guides you in how to concoct a variety of toppings and decorative flourishes for the sweet little lemon, vanilla, chocolate and coffee cupcakes that have been whizzed up ready for sliding in the oven almost before you've managed to get a lick of the spoon. At the end of the afternoon, your beautifully hand-crafted cakey creations will be placed safely into confectioners boxes for the journey home. There they'll nestle, like a secret, yummy treasure on your passenger seat, ready to be exclaimed over by all who are lucky enough to get a mouthful when they're finally, and with a proud flourish, unveiled to the hungry throng awaiting your return.  The day runs from 11am - 3pm and is £65 per person inclusive of all ingredients, recipe file, light two-course lunch and presentation box to take your cupcakes home in.

Demo & Lunch 11am - 3.00pm

Cake is important at Harrop Fold Farm. We eat a lot of it, and as we've found it's an especially good way to start the day, a big plate of cakes and a pot of tea is how all our cookery courses kick off. After a short introduction to the day's recipes, you'll spend the morning watching Leah prepare a feast of seasonal local ingredients, all the while chatting through the techniques used so you can easily replicate each dish once you get home.

You'll then sit back and receive your bundle of cutlery seasonally and imaginatively tied, so you're ready to devour an elegant lunch. You'll be served the dishes you've just seen prepared, accompanied by red and white wine or local fruit juices and cordials. The day ends around 3.00pm, when, hopefully feeling replete, pampered and utterly relaxed, you'll head home with an abundance of new ideas to try out in your own kitchen. To keep your spirits up and your tummy nice and full on the journey, we send you off with a file of the recipes you've just eaten.

Demo and Dine

There's a celebratory feel as you arrive at Leah's converted barn kitchen for the start of a Demo and Dine evening. Champagne flutes sparkle in the candlelight, there's music playing
and gorgeous little canapés provide explosively intense taste sensations, as guests mingle and chat about their day.
Bubbly poured and everyone seated at their elegantly decorated place settings in front of the Aga, Leah will embark on a course-by-course demonstration of how to cook the freshest and best of the Peak District's ingredients for dinner.

You'll be given a menu for the night accompanied by the relevant recipes that you can follow at home, and of course there's lots of eating to be done as well as watching and learning. As each dish is cooked, it's served, scoffed and then it's on to the next. Four courses later, the evening ends with coffee and treats.  The evening is £60 per person inclusive of canapes and four course meal with wine and recipe file.
